at the moment i have a 5770 single the question is do i fork out £100 for another 5770 or do i fork out £200 for one of these? cant get the 2gb version as it wont fit in my case (CM storm scout)

From my experience with a 5870, Nvidia overclocking is much more straight forward, you're not limited to low overdrive limits forcing you to either flash the card with higher clock limits or use unofficial overclocking which can screw up powerplay and cause other issues.

Straight forward & limitations are 2 separate things.
Over clocking in CCC does not get much simpler period.
The OC limit maybe enough for some people & cards anyway.
Any serious over clocker will use Afterburner & that includes NV users as well.
I don't use Afterburner, Sapphire Trixx works much better for me without any problems with powerplay that would occasionally occur using 2d/3d profiles with Afterburner.
