Thinking about adding another 2GB 6950 crossfire in a couple of months time since they've dropped in price a bit. I'll be adding in extra fans at the same time to exhaust the hot air. Although I'm a bit concerned over power. I currently have this:

650w would be too weak no? Even from a good name. I was thinking I'd need around 750w? I have the i5 on a stable 4.3GHz and only OC my card when needs be.

I have this card currently:

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 [11188-05-20G]

OCUK no longer sell that same card by serial, but they have this:

Same card, just diffrent serial/batch number, so I assume it would be ok? But my main problem is the power supply, will it be enough? Thanks :)

You can CrossFire with any other 2GB HD 6950 so the one you linked to would be fine.

Don't get a 1GB card as you'll end up with effectively 1GB of VRAM.

The PSU link doesn't work so what make and model are we talking about?

People run CrossFired HD 6950s on a 650W PSU without any problems as long as it's a decent model.

I assume this is the system in your sig?

PSU:

XFX 650W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

Here is the complete system:

I'm concerned over the PSU because I thought I'd need a Silver or Gold model to get away with 650w in crossfire.

The energy efficiency rating doesn't matter as long as the PSU can output enough wattage on the 12V rail.

Your PSU will output 624W on the 12V rail and seems to have the necessary 4 x 6 pin PCI-E power cables for two HD 6950s.

Same PSU I think:

System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 473W

That's power from the wall so the PSU will only be outputting, say, ~425W.

I'd say you'll be fine.
