HD7950 heat dissipation

According to what I have read on-line the HD7950 has a TDP of 200w, does that mean that if I add it to my loop then when its running at max load the will be an extra 200w of heat for the loop to dissipate?

Yes, that is my understanding.

that's pretty much a worst case scenario but it's the assumption we all work to when guesstimating how much radiator a particular system will need

not all of the power drawn by a component will be converted to heat, and some of that heat will dissipate to the air inside the case, but most working out when it comes to watercooling loops is done on rules of thumb rather than direct data

And don't forget 200w is when at stock, it will be more when overclocked.
