HD7970 single-slot bracket

Hello

I read a while ago that OcUK had bought the initial batch of EK 7970 waterblocks, so I've preordered 2 of them for my cards.

Question is, have you guys also bought the single-slot I/O cards? will you be stocking them?

I presume OcUK will stock them, but if they don't, contact rjkoneill via the CS section (through 5UB

) and they can get them in for you

EK have a minimum order amount and then when you add their shipping it'd be like £30

Got a despatch email on the water blocks (acetal). Was hoping they'd arrive today but unfortunately they left too late. So, hopefully will get them Tuesday.

Anyone got their blocks today?

I checked the installation instructions on the EK website and it seems fairly straightforward.

Atleast you can put te blok on first and have the bracket on later

yeah

I wasn't that bothered with single bracket, but due to a mobo change I lost a PCIe slot and so have removed my K2100 NIC. I wasn't too convinced it made much of a difference to gaming online until I actually switched from it to the mobo's built-in NIC. Significant difference with MW3 and YouTube video viewing, funnily enough

So, to get the K2100 back in the PC, a single-bracket 7970 will free up the PCIe x1 slot beneath it......
