HD7990 Low frame Rates

Hi, I currently got a AMD HD7990 since as its meant to be the best card...

well i still seem to lag with Crysis 3. I've made sure both cores are being used and everything, latest drivers and all sorts.... all i can imagine is that it could be due to not having PCIE 3... i'm running the game at 1080p and 1440p... lags at both. mostly when out in the open @ 2nd level of the game.

Yeah I would say CPU bottleneck too.

For max settings on Crysis 3 you ideally need an overclocked i7, or an FX 8 core AMD CPU from the benchmarks I'd looked at.

Crysis 3 maxed @1600p runs great on my i7 3930k @4.0

I've been looking at this Intel 4930K 3.40GHz. should cure my issues yeh?

4770k would cure it better and cheaper

Huge bottleneck.
4930k's a bit drastic, I'd probably pick a 4770K and Z87 board.

that confuses me, because my hexcore doesnt even use 100% playing crysis at full... what quad you got?

26/2700K / 3770K or 4770K will do the trick.
