2. HDA Digital X-Plosion

i will be connecting it to my a/v reciever with toslink my uses will for games, movies and music

so which one will be best, its a dolby digital 6.1 amp with dts

it decodes to 5.1 but then i can select dd ex which is 6.1

Does your receiver have multichannel analogue inputs? That'd be the best way to connect up a card to make full use of the 6.1

Yup.

In which case I'd go for the X-Fi Xtreme Music (OEM) and connect it up using those ports.

It'll sound a lot better in supported games (e.g. BF2, Quake 4) and is about the same price as the X-Mystique.
