HDA X-Mystique 7.1 Oblivion Issues ??

Hi

I was wondering if anybody else is having any weird sound problems when playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion with the above card ?. Can't really descibe the sound I get its just some strange digital sound with static. If anyone else has had this problem have you been able to resolve it ?

I had it but couldn't find the option to disable hardware sound, but ended up getting a Soundstorm board soon after so haven't looked for a solution.

It happens in other games when you enable Hardware Audio/EAX as well.

sigh, if my x-plosion is gonna cause me so many issues, I might return it and get an inferior x-fi

The only thing the X-Mystique/X-Plosion can do over the X-Fi is DDL/DTS, the X-Fi cards are superior for gaming

If I was to go the X-Fi route, I would have to also buy a new AV receiver
