HDCP 2.2, is somthing I need to be concerned about when purchasing new gear?

As in title, just been reading up a bit about HDCP 2.2 and wondering is it somthing that I need to take into consideration if I want to watch 4k content on any new gear I purchase in the future, I only purchased a 4k capable HDMI 2.0 amp a few months ago and now I read that I might not be compatible with 4k content in the future which is a little disconcerting, what about people that have bought 4k TV's over the last couple of years?

Right so this hasn't been set in stone yet? Well whoever is trying to enforce this I really hope they take into consideration how much 4k hardware there is out there that isn't hdcp 2.2 compliant, imo it would have quite a negative impact on consumer confidence for future purchases, I'd be gutted if I can't play 4k blu-rays for example next year.
