Hdd disaster, need help!!

i accidently formatted a hdd i keep all my work, mp3.s, movies ect and i cant get them back!! i have tried ontrack easy reovery but when the scan is finnished, it doesnt come up with the folder structure and all the files are currupt.

it creates a folder LOSTFILE and puts millions of files in millions of folders named DIR 1. DIR 2, DIR 3 ect. please can someone help. thanx

Have you tried Get Data Back. It is free to scan your hard drive and find files. You do have to register it to recover files though

In the past I've used getbackdata & recovermyfiles to retrieve data from a formatted hard drive with success.Remember , the program has to be on a different hard drive to the one you want to retrieve the data from. Recovermyfiles gives options of what you want to retrieve . ie. jpgs/avis/docs/pdfs/ etc etc .
