HDD does not sleep

My Samsung 1TB HDD storage drive will not sleep when idle in W10, it's a noisy **** so I want it off when not in use.

It seems to have happened after going itx with the Asrock Z87E ITX.

im guessing you have tried going into power options > advanced power settings > Hard Disk > turn off hard disk after

It's just a storage drive for media.

Yeah it is noisy that's why I want power saving working. Some people are reporting that their storage drives switched off when idle in W7 and not in W10. Anyone got the HDD off when idle working in W10?

CrystalDisk should allow you to change the power saving and noise settings in one of its advanced settings.
