So I've just (about) built my first PC. I'm trying to use an SSD for windows and a HDD for Games and Music. The computer works fine except:
1) The HDD doesn't appear in the BIOS. I've connected it to the motherboard with a SATA 6GB cable as I have my SSD which is working fine.
2) The odd thing is I can see a 'Drive 0' in windows (I'm using Win8). I can't actually do anything with it other than populate its properties which show me from the capacity that it is the HDD.
As I said it's not in the BIOS list for the ATA ports. But windows can see it so I guess the cabling is fine, though the case is restrictive, and that the HDD works on a basic level but I can't use it. Any suggestions would be great.
Thankyou
