Ok so basically i have just bought a external hdd off the MM and i ran HD Tune on it and it came back with 18 unstable errors....Is this fine? as i had hoped to use it as a OS hdd in my new pc.
Or is it best as a storage drive?
Thanks

That is what came up on the actual HD tune error test:

Ok, How do i know if the warranty is transferable, I have completed all stages so far and now its telling me where to send it to etc so i dont think it matters?

lol ok well i have contacted the seller to see what he says but by the sounds of it i can just do it myself, I am also going to ring samsung and see if i can send it in its enclosure.
Thing is i run a HD Tune test and it says 18 'unstable' errors but CHKDSK comes back with nothing?

I dont have a pc to test it atm only a netbook, New pc is coming tuesday hopefully and going off the samsung warranty it runs out end of this month, I do have another enclosure i could try?

Ok will do it now then, Have you ever dealt with Samsung before?
I will take it out of the current enclosure then try it in another as well.

Ok just had a look and its near impossible to get the hard drive out and a google search also shows people unable to get the hard drive out :/
