just wondering why my HDD is 7'c hotter than my cpu

Idle (internet browser / media player for music / msn / skype)
cpu is currently sat at 27C
HDD 1 is at 28C
HDD 2 is at 34C

load (blend test) after 4 hours
cpu is at 39/40c

both HDD's stay the same

room temp is about 22c

just wondering why my HDD's seem so warm? they have a 120mm fan blowing directly over them,

is it me or do they seem very hot? or is it normal.

HDD 1 is my spinpoint
HDD 2 is an old 180gig IDE HDD that has spent most of its life spun down and still does

are my cpu temps okay? 40c is pretty much perfect for blend max load? highest i ever seen it hit whilst gaming was 35c (heat added from GFX card?

My HDD temps are 32 and 34 - those temps look spot on (I've got a 120mm fan cooling mine too)

are my cpu temps okay?

I want my cpu to run at those temps! I'm idling at over 40 and after a 4 hour blend i'd be hitting 80+ lol

If I were you I'd be VERY happy with those temps :)

after dusting my cpu idle temp is at 22c (20c room temp)

and max load is about 35/36c

concidering taking out a few case fans to make it abit quieter rig is in the siggy

My harddrives are around 30c as well, these been Samsung F1 and F3's. If you are concerned about temperatures, use the power down option in power options in the control panel.
