HDD on its way out

How can you tell your hdd's on its way out. when loading games ive notice its seams to take longer and longer . if it has had it what ssd would eat a rapter x 150gb.

I would backup you data straightaway, then download and run the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic utility on the HDD...

If you're looking for an SSD, then look no further than either the Intel X25-M G2 (80GB) or Crucial M225 (64GB); of these two, I prefer the Intel...

just ran crystaldisk
This one rapter x 150gb

Rapter seams slower then hitachi in write and read. could this mean its on its way out?

Try a SMART test and vendors testing software on the drive.

Run a chkdsk /r and backup your data.

Assuming your HDD is a 150GB Raptor X, then pick from Here..."Data lifeguard diagnostic" either DOS (Floppy) or DOS (CD), depending if you wish to boot from CD or floppy...

They are both the same, one is simply zipped...

burn it onto cd as an ISO not as a data file, i use burnerxp.
