Hi,

I have downloaded a testing software. As i have been getting Disk boot failures and freezes. The report states that my HDD temp is changing between 50-55 and will cause Disk failures.

I don`t overclock or mess with the settings of my pc at all.

Why would this be happening?

many thanks

Err the hard drive is too hot? Have you got a fan blowing on it, is it bunched up with other hard drives? What testing software were you using? What is your case temp?

I`m using Hard Drive Inspector. it states the HDD has a temp of 50-55C.
I`m a noob - Wouldn`t know how to check the case temp etc. Only one HDD yes have a fan not sure if its blowing on the HDD though just got an outlet on the side of my case.

Well thats a strange reading for the CPU, it cant be 128 degrees or it would have died, ignore that reading. You should put a 120mm fan blowing over your hard drive to keep it cool.

o.k

that reading is -128.....not 128.

I have a 12inch fan on the out side blowing on my whole case at mo. the case is ice cold. Even that isn`t bringing the temp down. I`ll give the fan ago.

many thanks
