At the moment iam dual booting with xp and vista, now I never use xp I was hoping to delete that partition and just have vista as my OS. Originally when installing the OS I thought that 30gb would be ample for vista, but its nearly full up already. Ive read the bioshock takes up 8gb alone so I need to extend my E drive.

Will it be possible to extend my vista partition (E)? What options do I have?

You could take all of the C: drive and merge it with E. Are C:, E: and F: all on the same physical disk? If so, just merge them all into one partition. So C: and F: into E: as that is where Vista is.

Or buy Acronis Disk Director. http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/

Or check out the partition section of http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17701152, near the bottom of http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8885946&postcount=2.

Right. So you want C: as the Vista drive? I don't know if Vista allows this but I don't think you can change the drive letter that XP is on. So if I install it to D: I can't change it to Y: without reinstalling XP. I assume Vista is similar.

Do you want to install games to the OS drive? If so, merge C: into E: and add some more from F:.

If not, you could merge C: and F: and perhaps even take some of the 7Gb left on D: if you are sure you won't need all that.

So if you want C: to have Vista on it I think you will have to re-partition the drives and then reinstall Vista to the new C: drive.

Yer I think this is what iam going to have to do :(

Might be for the best vista has been crashing a lot, although I think it dodgy ram.

I cant seem to be able to boot from my vista cd, any ideas why not? Set the boot priority in the bios. But it loading straight into windows.
