Bit of advice required,

My HDD is occasionally powering itself off, when this happens windows freezes. If I try and restart the pc straight away it doesn't always come back first time....usually have to leave it a while.

temps seem ok, cpu~45, chassis, ~32. HDD is a Western dig 250PD.

Any ideas?

OK to add more to this it isn't the HDD. PC is still locking up after a short term. I've taken windows out of the look by booting into the bios, and it even locks there. All temps are 30-45c.

I've now done the following;

- disconneted HDD, Sound card, all LAN cards, no pci cards remain, only agp gfx
- tried a known working gfx card - no fix
- tried a known working psu - no fix.

Only two remaining components are mobo and cpu.

From cold, it will run for about 30 mins before freezing. If i try and power it straight back on lt lasts ~5mins.
