I have a friend who is not really into computers, but a few months ago bought an external USB2.0 HDD (dont know the make/model) and recently it's started clicking and not working properly. Not being a techie he has no clue what to do, and nor do I so I thought I'd ask you guys.
He's also been looking into getting the data restored by a professional company but at £120 he's not really keen on the idea. On that front, if its needed, does anybody know any good companies for retrieivng data from it?
