So...for a new build, which has a Crucial C300 64GB as boot driver (on SATA III), and a Samsung F4 2TB as storage on SATA II, but the Samsung HDD doesn't appear as "D:" and I only see the Crucial C300 and the optical drive, despite it is shown under disk drive in device manager.

Is it because I haven't made a new partition for the Samsung HDD, so it's not showing up under Windows Explorer/My Computer?

Assuming its got no data. Use disk manager to format it then if necessary import or activate it.

go to control panel / admin tools / comp management
I think the reason that the Samsung HDD is not shown is most probably because it has not been partitioned...so what's the simplest way for me to do that? Also, I can't find the dish manager you mentioned...I'm using Windows 7 64-bit btw.
