Hello

I’m getting at 1080p 3D TV soon, probably the LG 42LF652V and was wondering whether I should use a HDMI 2.0 cable with it.

I already have a 1.4 HDMI cable, is this good enough or should I upgrade?

It will be plugged into a GTX 960 and used as a PC monitor for movies both 2D and 3D, gaming and if the resolution is good enough and there’s no text ghosting, web browsing.

Thank you.

Good question.

LG's own website just says HDMI and the online manual also just says HDMI.

PC World says HDMI 2.0, That large rainforest place says 1.4 and all the other don't state any version.

Answered above but just to be clear - a 1080p screen has no need for HDMI 2.0. HDMI 1.4 will do:

4096x2160 @ 24 Hz
3840x2160 @ 30 Hz
3D 1080p video @ 120 Hz for 60 per eye (HDMI 1.4b only)
