Anyone using one? I want to use the PS4 Pro on my monitor while the PS4 will be sitting otheside of the room, I'll be bring a hdmi cable around the room from console to pc monitor but I don't want to be always unplugging the hdmi at the console end when using either TV or monitor so a switcher is the only way..

They is so much too choose from hdmi 1.4 wise but very little hdmi 2.0

I had a similar set up previously. It was across the room and the input lag from the controller was absolutely awful.

So be careful where you put the console, you might want to test it before.

Console is placed behind me other side of the room. From where I sitting I can use the PS4 fine no input lag but its on the TV, I want the PS4 onto my monitor so I dont think lag will be an issue..

Would a very long HDMI cable add lag? talking about 15m

HDMI cables transmit at speed of light or very close to it.

The issue some people have is the bluetooth controllers within the PS4 are crap. If you have stuff inbetween you and the console it will hurt the connection.

I also believe there may be quality issues in manufacturing. They work enough to pass the tests but in the real world not good enough. I ended up selling my console as it improved a lot when it was closer I still had issues now and again so I narrowed it down to the console itself.

New console has had zero issues apart from beeping noise from my 3rd party HDD when I upgraded it.

I'm in the same boat as you and HDMI splitters usually require a power source. The cheap ones are crap and have all sorts of issues and I had to send it back.

I've not resorted to just swapping HDMI cables out the back. Not ideal but it takes less than 10 seconds to do.

Nothing wrong with long HDMI cables however I imagine you would need a very very good splitter to use one with it. Also a decent HDMI cable brand. The longer the cable the better build quality you want. Ibra on amazon are recomennded.

This is the HDMI splitter I use, had it well over a year.

Changing between inputs is automatic, it outputs whichever device is powered on, so the remote is pointless unless you have multiple HDMI devices powered on at te same time. I will say a few people have had quality issues though. I'm fairly sure the 5th HDMI port on mine doesn't work (it was the first HDMI I tried my PS4 on and I thought my PS4 was DOA due to it). That said, it's unlikely one would need to plug in 5 HDMi devices all at once. In that regard it's barely a mark against the product. No power required either.

There's cheaper options with less HDMI ports too.

Edit: Upon reading your post, you want a HDMI output splitter... I don't have one of those. Funny thing is, it would be nice to have one since I have 2 monitors (use PC on one while console runs on the other). Those aren't too common I'm afraid.
