Hi All

Curious to know if a HDMi 2.0 monitor will work with an ATI 5450?

I've got the new card installed, but nothing is showing up on screen.

If it will not can someone recommend the cheapest card for just browsing, not gaming.

Thanks in advance.

It should work - you just wouldn't be able to do very high refresh rates/more than 30Hz at 4K. If it won't show a picture at 1080p@60Hz (depending on monitor specs) something is wrong/broken.

Make sure you haven't done the silly thing and forgot to select pcie in bios :;): . But if it's a new buy then should be no problem, never owned the 5450, had the gt 210 equivalent, but if it's used then you could question the condition of it.

Or another thing you could do is try another HDMI cable? Whether it sounds daft or not I had a white 360 other week(sold it now) and while I got visual with the supplies HDMI cable it was very laggy and had no sound, at this point I thought the Xbox was naff being old, but did the same on my fat boy PS3, then it dawned on me to test another cable and hold and be hold the Xbox was much faster and I had sound from all devices.
