Hi,
I have a Yamaha RXV4A coming this week and want to connect my series x, PS5 and gaming PC to it, I've read that the HDMI 2.1 ports are limited to 24gbps although the receiver is rated for 4K / 120hz after firmware update which was released last year.
Ive ready a few complaints online that the receiver is not 48gbps although most posts I've read from folks who actually have one report it works fine with next gen after the firmware update released late last year (and the obvious board replacements for models manufactured earlier than last summer).
Need to make a decision on whether I keep it or send it back prior to opening the box, my question is will I notice anything different running 24gbps ports with PS5 and Series X 4k / 120 with HDR? is it the fact that 48gbps ports are more future proof ready for 8k ? not fused about that as ill prob replace it in a couple of years, plus I'm not a vision nut as long as it looks near as good as it does connected direct to TV and I get 120hz.
If it helps it'll be connected to a Sony Bravia KD43X89JU, thanks.

Edit, if it helps anyone else received it and it all works well.
