My Onkyo receiver keeps loosing audio sync with my newly acquired 7970.

When audio is playing...hdmi audio/reciever lock in and its all fine..
when pc stops playing sound, the receiver shows its not receiving a audio signal.
consequently the receiver keeps 'clicking' every time it locks onto the signal.

seems to describe it... and increasing the 2d clock did fix the issue..

Anyone know a better solution?

..it seems amd have an entrenched ongoing unfixed hdmi audio sync issue. really weird. my 5850 didnt have this issue.

I'm not sure if it's a setting in your amp, or ccc, or the amp has a timeout feature when no signal is present.

My 7950 and vsx 922 works flawlessly though.

are you outputting pcm channels, or dolby hd audio master, and what programs are showing this issue

Its pcm.

Im not sure wether increasing a postulated timeout holds against the fix when increasing the gpu 2d clock. I will have a look.

Anyone out there experienced the symptomzand found a better solution?
