Just because you can buy a cable doesn’t mean it’s good…
I want to use my pc on my 4k tv to play games like fifa and Battlefield.

Is running a 10m cable going to give me any problems?
Screen is 4k at 60hz 1ms

I use HDMI over Ethernet, with super thin Ethernet cables that can be passed between doors and doorframes. You need a box for that though, I paid around 150 quid but I wanted USB as well so I could plug in game controllers in the front room when gaming on my 4K LD OLED.

i only need hdmi as the pc is in the same room and i will game with a controller

you should be fine with a modern fibre optic HDMI lead though.
ill have a look into this thanks

EDIT: lol ill not be pays £60 for a cable, i would rather just move the pc to other side of the room

I've heard of issues anything above 8m region at 4k quality.

Active HDMI or Balun (Ethernet converter) is generally the word if you want stable 4k, but maybe you'll be lucky with a regular 10m!

You can get 10m fibre optic cables for £10-30, the rainforest have their own brand version even.

Fibre optic cables work fine. I have one .

ETA why object to spending money on a cable? Your monitor and PC are expensive so don't skimp.

I've had hit and miss results with 10m HDMI and DisplayPort cables at work. Some devices are fine, others just don't like it
