HDMI Capture Card

Im looking to buy one (if anybody can recommend a good card in London, let me know where, not sure if its competitor but OC dont seem to sell it... or just leave the general direction that i should be looking =]) and i was wondering if a 1x slot card will fit in my mobo : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...50i (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

it dont seem to have a 1x slot but has an extra x16 lane and normal pci i could use, will it work?

ps. also i heard that a hdmi capture card wont work with the PS3 due to HDCP, how could i get around this?

If you mean capture from HDMI then im guessing you cant due to the DRM and HDCP restrictions. An x1 will fit into an x4 or x16 slot. But obviously wont run any faster.

so how would i capture HD from my ps3? are there any 'hacks' available that allow HDCP or DRM to be bypassed?

I dont personally know of any, but any discussion about it is on here is not allowed im afraid . . . .

Or im completely wrong and they do exist. Though I have never seen one.
