As said, what inputs does it have?
If DVI, then you need an HDMI-DVI adapter, plus a way to get sound.
If VGA, then you will need an digital to analog converter box, plus some way to get sound.
For both of these, there may be a dual phono socket for sound when on DVI/VGA input. Connect cable from headphone jack on laptop to this.
If Scart, then buy a new TV.
If DVI, then you need an HDMI-DVI adapter, plus a way to get sound.
