HDMI Dongle replacement

I recently bought a Sapphire 3450 Silent for a HTPC, however, the DVI-HDMI dongle wasn't supplied with the card. I can see that it's possible to purchase the dongles however, an entire DVI-HDMI cable is a similar cost.

However, would the HDMI audio be carried over this convertor cable or do I need the specialist adaptor and then just get a HDMI cable?

You need the ATI adapter if you want it to carry the sound as well, if not the DVI - HDMI cable works for picture only.

Should the adapter have come with the card? If so, contact wherever you bought it from.

Had a look on the Sapphire website and it doesn't mention the dongle anywhere being included so I guess it's a live and learn experience!
