I currently use DVI, but I want to know two things.

1. Is DVI really any better than VGA?

2. To play HD content, like Blu-Rays or HD DVD's, do you need HDMI? What difference does it make if it's only on a 22" or 24" monitor anyway?

TIA, Yantorsen.

what is HDCP?

and in what way is DVI better than VGA?

thanks :)

edit: think I know what HDCP is now, basically I just need to have a HDCP GPU (I asume the 8800GTX is?) and a HDCP Monitor? Then just use a DVI to connect them?

does anybody know if my Cibox C2201D is HDCP?

heres a link explaining HDCP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDCP .

I think it should say at the back of your monitor if it's HDCP, but i think your monitor is tho.

It's the encryption used with HD, you can only watch HD media at DVD quality without it. Wiki
VGA is Analogue and DVI is digital for a start, and there are various quality improvements. But you can watch HD content with VGA.
