As the title says I have my 570 plugged into a LCD TV via HDMI and I have had nothing but trouble with the audio.

I have googled it but came up with nothing.

The problem is that the audio cuts out every now and then for no reason at all and the only way to rectify it is to change the input on the HDMI socket from DTV to PC (with the TV remote) and then back again. The sound will then work for a bit and then just cut out and stop working and I have to change the input back and forth again. It's even more annoying if I'm playing a game because I then have to exit and restart the game for the sound to work in it.

I am using the latest Nvidia drivers.

Yeah, the TV has a Laptop plugged in via HDMI and that works fine in all 3 HDMI sockets. But my PC has this problem with all 3 HDMI sockets.

Have also tried messing about with all the settings and also tried uninstalling the HD audio drivers and reinstalling them to no avail.

What I haven't tried yet is testing this on a different TV to see if I get the same result because then I will either know it's the TV or my PC.

Or it could be the cable... but I don't have another Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable spare :(

Well if you've got a laptop that works fine on all 3 HDMI ports on the TV, it's not your TV that's the problem.

I suggest you try connecting the DVI port on the GPU to the HDMI port on the TV to see if the sound stays consistent. Not sure if your GPU carries sound over DVI...

I'm also interested in the TV's inputs, DTV and PC...does the TV change any settings based on these, or are they just names for the different HDMI inputs?

The DTV and PC settings are on the same HDMI port on the TV.

To change them you press input and then press left or right on the remote and it switches between them.

The screen does seem to change when switching between them, on DTV it has more colour and on PC it has less, the resolution also seems to be affected by this change with one setting (DTV) fitting perfectly on the TV and the other setting (PC) being a tad off center.

I'm going to take my PC to try it on a different TV via HDMI and see if I get the same problems.

Also not sure on whether my DVI carries sound if I put a HDMI converter on it. But to be honest I don't want to pay for a converter just to see if it will work or not.

Cheers for your help.
