HDMI Graphics Card for HD-DVD + Blue-ray

I currently have a Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD mothboard, with sound coming through HDMI into my Plasma; all works very nice. Got the LG HD-DVD/Blue-ray drive this morning. While it works, I can see performance issues and think a graphics card might be in order.

Can anyone recommend a graphics card (certainly sub £100) that will do the job? Ideally I would like the on board sound to go through the HDMI on the graphics card.

Thanks,

Chris

as ive said many times before:

Pasively cooled low to mid end ATI 3000 series cards with HDMI audio passthrough own all when it comes to HTPC setups.

Might be worth a read of My Tale:

Not sure if the problems have been solved on the new 3xxx cards, but it seems to be very hit and miss, and the sound quality is questionable. I know the issues are supposed to be getting sorted, but TBH if you can afford a separate wire from a dedicated sound card - I'd go for that. :(

i've got a hd2600pro (think it's xpertvision) which has an onboard hdmi port, sound goes through it with no extra config (but i use external speakers anyway)

picture looks superb

edit, was £41 i think
