I'm after an HDMI capable graphics card and so far there has been only 2 choices namely Sapphire's X1600 pro HDMI(£90) or Asus 7600GT (£140). My question is I've also seen cards like the Asus EN7600GS with an HDTV out adaptor. How is this going to connect to my LCD TV? The reason I want an alternative is because I don't want to spend anything more than £100 for it.

Isnt dvi pretty much the same as hdmi?

You can get dvi > hdmi cables that would plug into your tv (and almost every graphics card made within the last 5years)

Dvi and hdmi are pretty much the same as thier both digital unlike vga
you can get a dvi-hdmi from anywhere pretty much and most graphics cards have dvi outputs

Hdmi has sound dvi on video cards don't some hd tv's only give you hd resolutions and some can give you a lot more though hdmi port, my tv does 1360 x 768 from hdmi/vga and i think component but not tried that one yet.
