I have an ATI x1600 Pro with HDMI out on it - I thought great, can build a media center, plug into new HD TV. But alas, get really wierd picture when playing video through the HDMI, which is much better when I play through the normal VGA!
Why not use the VGA the, well I was trying to save that for a 2nd, touchscreen, monitor to control the machine.
Any ideas what it could be - the screen through HDMI seems like it has a lag on it which is not present on VGA. The pixels seem to merge together and there are line appearing where they sould not! Any way to improve the playback through HDMI, I have heard you can set ATI to exactly to the TVs resolution?
