I'm hoping someone else who has had a similar problem can tell me where I'm going wrong here.
I've got a Samsung UE32F5000AK (1080p) as a primary monitor along with a 24" computer monitor. I'm using an ATI 5850 that has 1 HDMI port.
The Samsung gets no signal from the PC, but does get a picture and no sound from my Xbox. Tried different cables and ports on the TV which gives the same results.
So I thought the problem was with my graphics card. (already tried reinstalling drivers just in case).
Then I connected the Xbox and the PC to another 32" TV (720p) which works fine. Xbox has sound and picture too.
Therefore it must be the Samsung TV that is faulty.
Finally, I connected an internet TV box that connects using HDMI - it works fine with sound and picture.
So each step shows that every device/cable is fine??
I thought it might be some resolution related setting but I don't even get any signal to the TV when I'm in the BIOS on my computer.
Can anyone work out what the problem is?
