Anyone know if theres one available or coming soon?

I currently have my xbox going into the component in on my HDTV but want to get a Wii at some point which will need the component in so I need to move the Xbox to either HDMI or DVI in on the TV (no VGA available)

Another thing - does anyone know if the output of the 360 is HDCP encrypted at HD resolutions when you have the new HD DVD drive? (i'm guessing not but just wondering if anyones heard anything to suggest otherwise...)

Cheers.

At the moment, no HDMI or DVI-D digtail connection is on the table for the 360, at least in the near future. HDCP is currently unlikely to be enabled on movies for a long time, so the 360 is perfectly fine for playing HD DVD movies over component HD. HDCP can not be sent over analogue HD as far as I know.

Best bet in the short term would probably be buying a component switch box of sorts, though they're quite expensive (~£80-90), they'd be good for having Wii / 360 / Sky+ HD all going in and a PS3 in the HDMI.

Im just using a VGA cable with a VGA to DVi adapter that came with a graphics card on my TV.

This will work only if you have a DVI-I socket, not DVI-D so it's worth checking the manual or looking at the pin configuration.

You only get HDCP on digital connection types, so no.

You know, I never thought of the xbox only having analog signal. LOL.

Right thanks guys, My TV has DVI-I so i'll just get a VGA cables and dig out a VGI / DVI pin converter.

Cheers.

I've also got a Component>DVI convertor which I use for the 360, Works perfectly on my TV. It was actually designed for gfx cards so you can output to component but works fine as a input. I got it on Ebay for about £10.
