HDMI or DVI

This is very silly question but didnt find much on it.

Setting up my system and I have 1 HDMI socket on my 5850 and 2x DVI.

I have my TV connected via HDMI and the 24WMGX3 24" tft via DVI. Will i see a increase in quality using the HDMI for the monitor instead?

no.

hdmi carries sound and thats the only difference im afraid.

Different cables, same protocol though. Except that in HDMI the protocol was enhanced to send an audio stream as well.

You can get HDMI <-> DVI cables - to give you an idea how literally how compatible to two standards are.

Thanks for that chaps, I really thought HDMI was far superior. Now I know why I got the adapters with my 5850.
