HDMI ouput from my existing dual dvi card?

on my old saphire X1950 so i can get the picture into my TV (new set doesnt have vga )

or would buying a cheap card such as http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-265-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1985 be a better option ?

really out of touch with gfx setups

As long as it just the picture you want as those adapters won't carry sound. I think the only one that does is the one that AMD ship with cards. To get sound you'd need to run optical or analogue audio cable from PC to the relevant port on your TV, assuming it has one.

Yeah tv has audio in and mobo has optical and coax outputs, I suppose the card option would be a neater solution ?
