Hello,
I have about 5 game consoles curently wired up through a hdmi box and then the hdmi out goes to the TV. I am thinking of getting a led projector and wondering if there is a wireless dongle I can put in the hdmi out of the HD box and the receiver in the hdmi in the projector, so I can stream which ever console is in use without having to swap wires around. I do have a Google chrome cast but don't think that will help. Any advice would be welcome thank you

They do exist but they add a fair bit of delay, not great for gaming.

Can't remember the brand of the one I had as it was a few years ago but just search for hdmi wireless transmitter / receiver. It also struggled with fast changing scenes with the picture going blocky but they may have improved over the years.

Can you not just get a regular HDMI splitter so you are sending the image to your TV and the Projector at the same time? Your switch should already have a function on it that swaps the input to whatever is powered on unless its an old one. There are loads of 5 in 1 out devices that can switch to the powered on device as the input, along with splitters which will then pass that signal to two inputs.

Consoles x5 --> 5 port HDMI box --> 2 output splitter --> TV & Projector

You will have to wire up the projector but there would be no wire swapping or messing around.

I have a hdmi box and i bought a splitter so from the hdmi out I have the projector plugged into one hdmi and the tv to the other. However I do not get a signal at all unless both devices are on ? which defeated the object as I do not want my projector on 24/7 I dont understand why the splitter only works when both devices are on ?

Think you want a switch rather than a splitter if only using one output at a time
