HDMI PCI Card

Does such a thing exist?

Basically I'm after a PC which has a HDMI output but don't want the expense of purchasing a high-end graphics card with HDMI on board.

Although I appreciate a link to a competitor is not allowed, it would be nice to know if indeed a card exists in the wild so I'm not searching for something that is not even there.

My old Gainward 8600GT had a direct HDMI output and only costs £30~ now. Other than that, I'm sure you could pick up one of these, you would have to check but they should come with a DVI to HDMI adapter.

OK, ordered 3 of these yesterday, arrived today and none of them have a HDMI output!!!

Only a VGA, DVI and S-Video.

Are there different models?

do you mean PCI-E or PCI

don't think there are any nvidia/ati PCI cards with Vista drivers

~J~ he did specifically say you need a DVI -> HDMI adapter.

I think the majority of 4000 series ATI come with HDMI adapters also. I'm not sure about anything native though.

If you got that ATI its a PCI-e card. The ati do sound from dvi to hdmi via the adaptor.

Doesn't really matter about the board, so long as they had/have a HDMI output.

Well in the box I've got:

The card
DVI to VGA adapter (silver)
Svideo to Component adapter (yellow)
Drivers disk

And nothing else.

So is the sound carried from DVI, and I now need to purchase DVI to HDMI adapters?

I guess as long as it will work? both my cards came with them.
