Hi,
when I was putting a hdmi cable into the hdmi port on my LG tv it pushed the hdmi port into the casting inside the tv. Can this easily be fixed?

As long as it hasn't ripped the contact tracks off the circuit board then, yes, someone with the right skills and tools could re-seat it. If you had the skills and tools then you'd have already done it by now, so I'm guessing you haven't. That probably means paying someone to do the work.

It would be a fraction of the repair cost (say 5-10%) to buy and use a HDMI switch on one of the other HDMI ports.

Hi,
THanks for all the replies. No I don't have the skills to do the job. Was going to take it to a tv repaire shop.

I have managed to do the same thing to another hdmi port, so only have one hdmi port free.

ordered a HDMI switch from amazon,but had to send it back to them as it kept loosing the signal.

can anyone pls recommend a good hdmi switcher pls?

If its the LG 32/42LF580V, you have posted on before, then shop may recommend getting a new main av board ~£30, and slotting that in
if the pcb tracks are torn, and even if they are not, could be the most economic repair;
eg from ebay
LG 32/42LF580V MAIN AV BOARD
is the remaining hdmi port working OK ? if not maybe other broken inputs are causing problems
even with the board would still be an hour of labour installing it, so they could be asking £75 all in.
