Hdmi sound on gtx 460 questions

Hope some one can tell me if the GTX 460 can output game sound through HDMI? I currently run all sound through my ATI 4870 to my AV reciever through HDMI and due to distance involved i wouldnt want to start running other cables around room. Im asking as im going to upgrade my machine soon and like the look and price of a sli gtx 460 setup but if they cant do this i would have to look at staying with ATI cards. Thanks for any help in advance :)
