HDMI stopped working :(

I got my LCD tv some time ago and it has a HDMI conntection so after my 3850 arrived i connected it using Catalyst 8.1 and it all good. The tv was found. I had to disconnect the wire to clean the PC and after i connected the HDMI wire now it can't find the TV.
I even un-installed 8.1 and installed Catalust 8.2 but with no result. Any pointers?

I'm guessing that you have another screen connected to the other plug (dvi or vga?)

Try:
1. switch off the computer.
2. plug in ONLY the TV via hdmi
3. switch on the TV
4. Power up the Computer

I've found that monitor recognition through the hdmi to be very poor in some cases. Sometimes it just comes down to sequence - with mine I had to switch on the TV, boot the machine, then once I heard the windows 'music' switch the TV off and then on again, then it worked - bizarre!
