I want to be able to use my PS3 on two 1080p displays in my room. Am I right in thinking all I need is an HDMI switch to do this?

Product description

*** Original Duronic Product ***Auto switches smartly between up to 3 HDMI sources to one high definition display up to FULL HD 1080p and higher resolutions

Will it work with two displays?

That description implies you have 3 HDMI devices plugged into it as inputs (PS3/360/PC) and 1 lead outputting to your LCD/Plasma and you switch between them. Like a KVM on a PC (without the "K" or the "M").

I am not an expert but I think you need some sort of Splitter and not a Switch.

Yup, you need a splitter, not a switch.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I use one to feed my Sky HD into my Projector and TV.

You really want a proper powered one, that does the HDCP Key storage for you, I paid £25 from CPC for mine.

It used to have dual HDMI out in the original spec :(

As others have mentioned that switch won't work, thats for the other way round, loads of devices into one display.

Something like this work?

What should I go for? I had a look in some electronic shops today and the only one they had cost £50. Looking really good but way too expensive.

I picked up a powered HDMI splitter off ebay for £20 and it is great.
It's only a little black box but it does the job, it is autosensing and will go into standby automatically if it can't pick up any live connections.
