I have dual monitor setup both with same colour settings connected via DVI to HDMI for my first monitor and HDMI to HDMI to my second monitor however it seems like my second monitor brightness and colour is a little bit different to my first monitor, is it because it's HDMI to HDMI connection?

Even with 2 of the same model monitor identical settings in the OSD won't always result in exactly the same colours, etc. if you want to match them exactly you'd need to use a calibration tool that would build a profile for each panel.
While not likely to be the case make sure that neither is running in limited range RGB instead of full range as that can happen sometimes with HDMI.
