HDMI?

I want to upgrade my venerable shuttle and one of my key aims is to get a HDMI capable system.

Does this motherboard have that capability:

Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R Micro ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

It says it supports Blu-Ray and HD-DVD but does that mean it only supports HD disc drives?

I think it has a DVi connector. You can get DVi > HDMI leads. Thats what I use and it works great.

I personally would get an AMD 780G board If I was building a MCE system now

The GA-G33M-DS2R only has VGA.

If you want a mobo with onboard HDMI, you can't beat the GA-73PVM-S2H for the price.

any matx/atx case will fit the GA-73PVM-S2H

if you want the classic look for a htpc go for the desktop style cases, Silver Stone do a good range
also the Antec Fusion is a nice desktop case as well.

maybe a mini tower or a half sided case like the Silver Stone Sugo SG01, SG02

but there all a lot bigger in size to a Shuttle.

do these boards support LPCM or bitstream Dolby TrueHD / DTS: Master audio yet?
