How come when hdr is in a game and you look at say, the sun, it is bright but then gets dimmer? If you look at the sun in real life it stays as bright and your eyes dont adjust to it, they simply water or you squint.

Will it not be long before we see effects like squinting, 'eyes' running and dirt in the face on games. It would be a lot more reasistic if your vision got worse as you run accross a stream of fire as dirt was flying into your face or if your eyes got cut when glass was smashed into them

You've obviously never walked out of a pub in the middle of the afternoon. Those first few moments are painful.

you've obviously never stared at the sun for any lengh of time :p

seriosuly though, he's right. walking out of a building yeah - painbfull bright but it dulls down after a while. They should do some more work on looking at the sun, or being out in a really bright day - it doesn't dull down, you squint or put some glasses on lol. I dont think that would go down to well though

im sure it wouldnt be to hard to create a squinting effect or full black vision if you looked at the sun in binoculars/scope (that doesnt come back and you therefore die)
