HDR content with hdmi 1.3 AV receiver

Currently run sky hd and xbox one s through my onkyo SR507 amp which only has hdmi 1.3 connections

My LG OLED tv arrives tomorrow so want to make use of the hdr from the xbox one S

am I right in thinking I can connect my xbox one s hdmi output directly to the tv then connect it to my av receiver using a digital output cable and this should work?

Currently the xbox goes directly to the av receiver via hdmi but this wont output hdr to my oled will it??

connected up this afternoon with new hdmi cable (ARC) and then ran optical cable from tv to the receiver

All works sweet
