I've got 2 Windows accounts on my PC and I want one to have HDR enabled for the monitor and the other to have it disabled. However, every time I change the setting in one account then the same setting gets applied to the other. Surely this can be set on an individual account basis?

Not sure about per user basis. But randomly I did see this on Github just recently: https://github.com/res2k/HDRTray

Command line utility

Since version 0.5, the HDRCmd command line utility is included. It can be used to toggle HDR on and off from scripts and check it's status.

Syntax:

HDRCmd [SUBCOMMAND] [SUBCOMMAND-OPTIONS]

So you could setup a batch file to run on the startup folder for whichever user you want HDR enabled on?

Not tried it myself, but thought it looks like something which would solve your problem.

[Edit] Download link for the utility would be on the releases page or here: https://github.com/res2k/HDRTray/releases/download/v0.5.90/HDRTray-v0.5.90.zip

I have hdr on with one account
And off with the other account
So definitely doable

Local accounts?
Or signed into Microsoft accounts?
If they're signed in
Then it might be syncing your settings
One of mine is local the other signed in
I just turn hdr on/off as needed with windows key×alt+b
