HDR soooooo over bright!

I have a 902B 4k HDR TV... When HDR movie plays the brightness and backlight settings jump to 100... I'm getting a suntan here!, Is that normal?

Do I just lower the brightness down?

While here... I notice a small dark smudge on light backgrounds... It's just to the right of the Panasonic logo if you look carefully... Any ideas what it is?

I have cleaned it, thinking it was on top, but seems under the screen.

The THX backlight setting for daytime is 20 and contrast 90... When HDR plays both jump to 100.... You can imagine the difference from 20 for a ambient light room to 100!
