Hi,
I stumbled on this forum while googling how to get my hdr to work and im hoping someone here can point me in the right direction
When i try to turn hdr on in windows it just gives me a black screen for a sec and turns back off.. no error no nothing. i tried it on different resolutions and only plugging in my tv instead of my tv and monitor and the result is the same .. it just turns on for a sec.. black screen.. turned off
I have a feeling it could be that my motherboard is too old? im using a 1660ti but on a pci x16 slot.. besides that i have no clue why it wont work
my specs are:
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3
Intel Core i7-4790K
Nvidia GTX 1660-Ti 6gb
and my tv is:
Philips 43PUS7304
any help would be greatly appreciated and if more info or tests are required im very willing to provide those.
Update. I managed to get hdr working at 30 hz. But it feels like the colors look wierd. Also why wont it work on 60hz? i bought a 4k 60hz cable .. my tv can run it and i doubt a 1660 ti cant ... so whats the problem here
